Prateik, it seems, may need a quick lesson on the art of kissing freely on movie sets from B-Town's renowned serial kisser Emraan Hashmi.
The young actor, we hear, refused to lock lips with co-star Kalki Koechlin in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's My Friend Pinto produced by UTV Motion Pictures.
His fans have sadly lost the golden chance of witnessing his maiden onscreen smooch.
A source reveals, "Kalki plays Prateik's love interest in the movie. There were two scenes in the film that required them to kiss each other.
The director wanted them to smooch rather than the usual peck on the cheek to establish their passion for each other.

Salman Khan
The former fitness instructor's life changed forever in 2009, when he was befriended by the accused in the Mumbai 2008 attacks.
He, of course, maintained that he had no clue of Headley's true identity, a fact the authorities could not prove otherwise despite a thorough investigation.
Rahul now hopes to get Salman Khan who played his mentor on reality show Bigg Boss last year to play Headley in the film. He also plans to star, besides direct this film based on this book.
"The Headley film is my dream project. I want to script, direct and if possible play myself in it. It's a tall order. But I am in no hurry. It's a story that I need to tell," he says.

Actress Minissha Lamba has shot down reports that she walked the ramp in a bikini in her forthcoming comedy "Hum Tum Shabana", saying there was such a scene in the script but she refused to do it.
"I put my foot down and didn't wear a bikini in the film. A scene was planned likewise but I refused to do it," Minissha, who slipped into a bikini for her role in "Kidnap", told in an interview.
Directed by Sagar Ballary, "Hum Tum Shabana" is not a run-of-the-mill romantic comedy, says the actress, adding: "The impression that you have is that it's a story of two guys who are after a girl. It's typical of a romantic comedy. If you think that is all there in the film, then you have to think again."
The 26-year-old, who mader her debut with "Yahaan" in 2005, has teamed with Ballary for second time for "Hum Tum Shabana" after "Bheja Fry 2".
The bikini scene notwithstanding, Minissha feels lucky to be part of the film as it is one of the rarest of comedies where the story revolves around a female character.

Releasing Sep 23, the film will see Shreyas Talpade and Tusshar Kapoor wooing Minissha.
Talking about her character, she said: "She is a part of a beauty pageant. She is the most unlikely contestant to be in a beauty pageant. She doesn't fit the criteria of someone who can be a model. She doesn't win the pageant, of course. What drama exudes after that is the high point of the film."
Friend turned foe, Shreyas and Tushhar, didn't let their personal differences affect the shooting of the film, said Minissha.
"If they had problem between them, I had do not know about it. Either there are no conflicts between them or they are just brilliant actors. See, everyone was professional on the sets. Even if they had personal differences, they are so thorough professional that they didn't let it affect their work," she said.
Minissha, who featured in films like "Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd." (2007), "Bachna Ae Haseeno" (2008), and "Well Done Abba!" (2009), will be seen next in Akshay Kumar starrer "Joker" and hard-hitting action drama "Zilla Ghaziabad".

Bhojpuri star Ravi Kissan is at once regretful and thankful that he wasn’t home when his domestic help Ruby jumped out of his bathroom window on Friday evening.
“It was a trauma beyond description for my wife. I was in Patna when I was informed about the ghastly incident. My wife was completely shaken. She’s a very simple God-fearing woman who has never harmed a soul.
For her sake I wished I was home by her side when it (the maid’s suicide) happened. But then for my own sake I’m glad I was away when it happened. There would’ve been all sorts of suggestions, ” sighed Ravi when he landed in Mumbai on Saturday morning.
The night before was sheer torture. “I’d have flown back the minute I heard about it to be with my wife and two daughters. But there was no flight from Patna to Mumbai in the night. Believe me, this was the most traumatic night of my life. I couldn’t sleep a wink. Something like this happening in my home…we can never be the same again. ”
When asked details about the luckless maidservant Ravi says, “How do I know? We’ve 14 domestic helpers in our 12-bedrooom two-storeyed home. She was recommended to us by my boy (man-Friday).
All I know is, she was from Mathura and had a family. She was mentally quite disturbed. My wife who’s very kind-hearted took pity on her and kept her as part of our staff. She was only a day-time employee. She came to work in the morning and left in the evening. ”
On the fateful Friday evening the maid, approximately 25 years old, locked herself in the 14th floor bathroom of the Kissan residence and jumped out of the window.
